Connecting to Care kicked off a campaign of intensified leadership focus on staff experience. It was adopted by HR for use as both a recruiting and training tool. Managed all phases of production including concepting, project management, and developing the video’s story from the filmed footage.

Researched best practices to improve physician communication with patients. Summarized recommendations in a visual evidence table which I evolved to a communication model and infographic. This work was the basis for a training program which positively impacted patient and physician experience.

Conducted original research and wrote a series of 8 concise and thorough white papers for a healthcare technology client, positioning them as a thought leader. A recent paper investigated how technological solutions could mitigate the impact of COVID on social isolation in seniors.

Conducted an in-depth market research assessment for a major health plan, exploring the opportunity of expansion into a new geographic area. Conducted research, quantitative and qualitative analysis, and told the story through PowerPoint, providing insights to inform executive leadership’s decision-making.

Rapidly achieved content expertise in a new set of healthcare accreditation standards for behavioral health. Conducted gap analysis, made recommendations to leadership, and developed a project plan leading to an “Excellent” performance rating.

Led the CONNECT Program’s development of a suite of products to enhance physician communication skills including: a 4-hour workshop delivered to 900+ doctors, a 1-hour Accelerator training, a maintenance of certification course, and video series. These products satisfied demand, achieved high ratings, and conserved valuable facilitator time.

Assessed the extent to which an organization’s new company values were being “lived”, conducting focus groups throughout the organization and identifying key themes and insights.  Wrote  detailed report on findings, gaps, and recommendations based on a literature review and staff stories. This work laid the groundwork for an organizational rollout and training program to address gaps.

Developmental edit of a manuscript. Provided in-depth analysis and detailed written report with suggestions, examples, and line edits to guide the author in rewriting his memoir. Areas of focus for improvement included story structure, story arc, pacing, and character development. The author commented that I “not only made [his] memoir better, but also made [him] a better writer.”
